LaChapelle is one of the most interesting and innovative photographers of this
generation, proving every now and then that photography is an art and that are
few photographers who understand this. His conceptual photography, full of colors
and saturation, has a deep connection with the bizarre and the fantastic.
I also love
the fact that he started his career at the 80s and worked with Andy Warhol,
when he started to photograph great artists. He directed some video clips and documentary
videos. LaChapelle worked with Christina Aguilera, Moby, Jennifer Lopez,
Britney Spears, The Vines, Elton John, No Doubt…
Now, David
LaChapelle is more into fine art photography again, putting together some big
exhibitions all over the world. I’m really hopping he comes to Brazil
