Procrastination seems to be the word of the moment. We tend to think longterm and feel discouraging. We think: "To have one million in 60 years, I must start saving now and I'll just enjoy my effort in 30 years! It will take too long. I don't even know if I'll be alive! It's better to start spending now" ... Then we leave for later. We ignore the needs of our future self. We don't go to the doctor today because apparently it's all okay. We don't make an effort to be with friends and family because they are always there and we can let it for later. Suddenly, the lack of attitude, motivation and effort makes us stay in the same place.
That's why I think
one thing to make life better is to take action. How many people spend their lives planning wonderful things, but never do anything for them to perform? I am one of those! I've made huge lists of New Year's goals, and didn't realized some of the items because I din't even tried to leave the house. Each thing we want, no matter how small it is, requires effort, work, study and dedication. In rare cases we can skip these steps and go straight to the point that we always dreamed about.
Once we become adults, we must make choices every day that will be decisive for the development of our life. We can choose to complain, talk about the lack of rich father, envy who got there or we can wake up early, sleep a little later, overcome fatigue and keep walking.
The truth is that the unexpected will always be there. Occasionally, something gets out of place, someone does something that we were not expecting... But good things come to those who take a deep breath, shake the dust and keeps moving forward. This is the adventure of life.
